Roof age is a starting point—not a replacement date.

Homeowners often hear a single number used as the expected life of a roof. That estimate can be useful for budgeting, but two roofs installed in the same year may age very differently. One may have balanced attic ventilation, moderate sun exposure and careful maintenance. The other may experience intense heat, recurring wind, clogged drainage or installation problems.

Warranty is not the same as service life

More ventilation products are not automatically better. Intake and exhaust must work together, and bathroom or dryer exhaust should not discharge into the attic.
